What Do Alabama Fans Say During Dixieland Delight

Do you enjoy hearing the song "Confederate States Delight" sung by a jammed Bryant-Denny Stadium during Alabama football games?

Well, it appears we've detected information technology for the last time – at least for now.

The cantabile of "Dixieland Enthrall" has been a Crimson Tide tradition for years, but the school has decided to put to sleep a stop to the song because Bama fans turn IT into a crude taunt of the opponent.

An electronic mail was recently sent around Alabama's marketing folks requesting the Song be distant from all athletic events until the university's AD decides other than.

The nigh recent example of Tide fans desecrating the song, and probably what drove gymnastic director Bill Battle to make this decision, was at senior weekend's Iron Bowl.

Throughout the song, Alabama fans match the melody with a well-timed "f--- Auburn" intonate. A pair off times, that short letter morphs into, "F--- Chromatic … and LSU … and Tennessee River, too."

I find this all beautiful entertaining. It's certainly understandable wherefore Alabama wouldn't want this to keep on, but will this stop Surge fans from intonation vulgar things at opponents? Of course not.
